Books

Spending wisely on books does not always mean finding the cheapest price; it also means spending your money where it will do the most good. When you purchase a book from Gallery 30, you are championing the independent bookseller and we thank you. Nothing beats the experience of reading an actual book—with a cover to touch, pages to turn and fresh ink to enjoy. At Gallery 30, we love books and the people who read them.

Historical Fiction

No book collection in Gettysburg would be complete without the work of Michael Shaara. His classic novel The Killer Angels won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and became the basis of the epic 1993 film Gettysburg. Also bound to become a classic is Cain at Gettysburg by former U.S. Army officer Ralph Peters. The greatest battle ever fought on American soil explodes to life on the pages of this sweeping, savagely realistic novel.

Children’s Books

We have an engaging collection of children’s books to entertain kids from 1 to 92! Along with favorites from timeless authors like Dr. Seuss, Shel Silverstein, and Maurice Sendak, we have a wonderful collection of modern children’s books including Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the Pigeon series, Good Dog Carl, the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie series, and Mix It Up! We also feature the enchanting works of author-illustrators Jan Brett and Nancy Tillman.
