Gettysburg resident Gabor Boritt is well known in Civil War circles. He is a former Professor of Civil War Studies and Director of the Civil War Institute at Gettysburg College and the 2008 recipient of The National Humanities Medal. He is the author, co-author, or editor of sixteen books, including The Lincoln Enigma and his newest work The Gettysburg Gospel.
