We invite you to join us on April 6, 2018, for our First Friday reception. Local author Leon Reed will be on hand to discuss and sign his newly released book, Stories the Monuments Tell: A Photo Tour of Gettysburg, Told by its Monuments.
Leon has also authored two other books relating to American history, A Patriot’s Story: Jeremiah Lott and the American Revolution and A Soldier in Patton’s Army: the Fight Across Europe With the 80th “Blue Ridge” Division in World War II (co-author). His work has appeared in the Gettysburg Magazine, Civil War News, and the Gettysburg Times. He is currently working on a series of children’s books.
Leon volunteers at the Gettysburg National Park Visitor’s Center, assisting visitors with research about their ancestors, and serves as a tour guide at the Jennie Wade House in Gettysburg.
