Gallery 30 will celebrate handcrafted Birds-Eye Maple Cutting Boards for our First Friday reception.
Gallery 30’s solid bird's-eye maple cutting boards are unique. Our master artisans create each board by joining sections from a single piece of figured bird's-eye maple, so the wood tone is consistent throughout. They are precision-shaped and beveled for a graceful curve and balance. Individually hand-sanded and finished silky smooth, each piece has a smooth, even surface and an attractive luster. The Gallery 30 handcrafted bird's-eye maple cutting boards are works of art designed to add aesthetic and utilitarian value to your daily life.
Hard maple is an ideal wood for cutting boards because it is durable and wears slowly and evenly. Because of its high density and fine, even grain, hard maple also resists marring from knife cuts and absorbs relatively little moisture from food. The hard maple we use for our cutting boards is also rare, only one in five hundred trees will exhibit the bird’s eye pattern required by our craftsmen.
Come explore local art, view the exquisite cutting boards and enjoy a wine and cheese reception at Gallery 30 from 5:00-7:00 PM on First Friday, March 5, 2021.
